Sammy Pike loses control of his Chevy and hits the rail
Monday, September 10
Sammy Pike, 32 of Haleyville lost control of his Chevy Blazer in a
curve near Pepper's Mill just off Dime Road. His vehicle hit the
safety railing three times. The right front wheel was torn from the
Chevy when it was caught by vertical support for the railing.
Haleyville Fire and Police were called to the scene for a reported
entrapment.
Pike was out of the vehicle when the firemen arrived.
He was transported to the Lakeland Community emergency room with non
life-threatening injuries.
